Need help deciding on what to do

Ok for the past several years my health has been bad and seems like my body is falling apart pain is unreal at times and have been running a fever for 2 years straight I have bad disc in my back have had chronic migraines the muscles in my back and neck hurt constantly and really bad I can only describe as if ur straining to hold 300 pound weights up and the pain so bad u want to drop em but i cant, been diagnosed with fibromyalgia  and have rls this is just a few of the probs. I have my dr has me on oxy 40 2x a day for several years but for past 6 months it barely dulls the pain, I really dont want to have to take the pain meds or ask for a bump up but i dont know if i can handle the pain or if it will send me into suicide mode as i can only tolerate so much pain and even with the pain meds. the pain is unbearable but i dont want to have to take them forever and keep taking them what do I do ? The pain is bad enough now with the meds I barely get out of bed but I really dont want to have to continue worrying about pain medicine to get me through the day I have tried alternative therapy and nothing seems to help and I have lost so much weight they want to run test for cancer but I cant even get out of bed to go get the test done. Am I doomed to a life of pain and pain meds. or is there hope what should I do should I try and quit the meds. and see how much I can take or ask the dr. to bump and be stuck in a medicine rut any suggestions lmk

pain meds can actually begin to turn on you just as you auto immune diesease (fibromyalgia) has
the meds will only kill the pain for a short time, and then the pills begin to take over your body causing "rebound pain" or pain from the pain pills
i was also in your situation for several years, i actually have liver diesease and as a result i experienced the same symptoms as fibermyalgia, i became so sick on the pain meds i started to think of them as poinson, because really pain medicaiton is not a "treatment" for anything, they are not life saving, its just drugs to me
i woke up one day and said no more narcotics, by the time i said no, my body had become atrophied, i lost mobility in my late 20's...not from my medical condition but from the pain meds, they had started to turn on me
it took a while to detox, if you are ready to do this, i can help, it also took a recovery program, i went with na, i actually feel better now living with my health issues than i did on pain pills
now everything has not been a walk in the park, at about 3 years clean i had to go on chemo, felt like death, but i made it through all that without narcotics,
hopefully soon you will get to the point where a little apin is worth a fresh start and a life free from pain pills
i wish you the best of luck, when you are ready to taper, let me know

I have been reading up on the fibromyalgia and it is a term used when the doctors can not figure out what is wrong with you.
have you ever considered consulting a homepathic doctor? you may just have some severe defficiencies going on.

i once had a condition that started in my neck. pain and stiffness like athritis . then spread to my back legs , down my arms until i could no longer turn my head or bend my legs or barely walk. lots of pain too.

so all the doctors could find was my iron level was so low it was almost not there.
i started juicing and eating iron foods, supplements and was back to normal in a matter of days.

you are right for wanting to make a decesion here. the pain meds only mask what is going on. you really need to get to the bottom of it and at least stop it from getting worse. pain tells us that something is not right going on. and we need to pay attention to it.
