Suboxen program

It's been awhile since I posted on here. Since the last time my daughter was clean and sober for 6wks then her friend came home from rehab and without me knowing they got together and I found needles again I told her she had to move out I could not enable her but she could stay if she really wanted to be clean. She moved out after many very mean tex messages to me (I know it was the drug) 4 wks later she sent me a tex asking me to come get her and take her to hospital because she wanted to go to rehab and be clean. She is now clean and sober 25 days and back home. She wants and is going to go to meetings, counceling, church, ect... The problem is she wants to be on a suboxen program but they are telling her that ur has to be dirt with herion before she would be approved. Could someone guide me in what I should do next she dont want to use and I sure dont want her to.  They did give her suboxen in rehab but only for half the time she was in there. I'm lost of what I can do to help her out.

25 days is remarkable! Great job. I'm confused though, how long was she in rehab and did they taper her off of the suboxen?

Suboxen really should be a short term solution which explains the taper program in rehab. Maybe you could go with her and hear what the Dr. has to say. Sounds like she is headed in the right direction. Hope you can get answers to keep it going. Wish I could give you a better answer. Just dig in and educate yourself on the suboxen program, it is hard to get off of as well. Best of luck and God Bless.

she was in rehab for 22 days and was on the suboxen for 11days. I did hear the nurse or whoever the in-take person was on the phone telling her she had to be dirty for herion to get into the program said there is a slim chance she could be put in the program even if clean. I'm just confused. She said feels down and not wanting to do anything when not taking suboxen is that normal? I don't know if I like the idea of her taking suboxen but if thats what will help her then ok. I'm going to start doing alot of reading about suboxen like I did few months ago about the drug of her choice. Thanks for your advice.

If she has been clean for 25 days there is no reason she needs to be on Suboxone. The nurse or whoever you heard is right. She won't get in the program if she is not actively using.  Suboxone is not used to keep a clean person clean. I have been an addict for 14 years and a year ago I started Suboxone because I was not strong enough to get off My drug of choice on my own. I was on them for 8 months and have been off them for 130 days. I didn't have any problems getting off them, but some very close friends of mine and several people on here would tell you that it was harder for them to get off Suboxone than the drug their drug of choice.  In my opinion the best thing for her is to start some kind of after care.

Please don't let ur daughter get addicted to suboxone like I was for years . It was terrible withdrawal I mean the worst ... I went cold turkey In a rehab for Coke & alcohol and didn't realize how bad the sub leaving my body would feel like . I kicked all night every night for a week straight , there was nothing they could give me it was Like coming off Any opiate . Why bother switching from one to another unless u cannot function and r a street junkie then suboxone to taper u is a miracle for short term but otherwise she will be addicted and they will keep her on it just to rape ur insurance co I swear. . Please resach mom for ur daughter!
