feeling proud but still have a roller coaster need advice

I'm done with day two and proud of myself for making it this far. I know I still have a huge roller coaster ahead of me but I'm exited that tomorrow I can officially say day 3. I'm staying to get a horrible sore throat, I don't know if this is normal to detox or something else. I'm worried because I get step throat a lot. I couldn't handle that right now while detoxing. Any advice?

Thanks everyone. If it gets to bad I will see a doctor. I'm scared because when I get a sore throat or step I get it bad and fast, it turns into a poison and is very painful. I've been like like since I was young and every time I had to have prescription pain meds to get through, even long before I ever got addicted to them. It would be extremely difficult to handle that with detoxing.

During detox sometimes you get a lot of sinus drainage which might cause a sore throat. But it is possible you have gotten a regular sore throat too. A warm saltwater gargle will help in either case. If it continues go see your doc as normal for antibiotics or whatever is needed.

Good Morning!  Congrats on finishing day 2!!!  A few more days and you will start to feel better!!!  I didnt have a sore throat while detoxing but others might have!  And you can make it through!  If you think you are getting strep go see the Dr, get some anti biotics and push through!   Our bodies are weak during detox so its possible but you can get through it!!!  Keep hanging on, youre doing awesome!!!!

I don't know about the sore throat but I am proud you're it three days as you know I caved at two and a half days I feel really bad still trying thinking of going into rehab.
