No Surgery

Well guys I can't have the surgery Wednesday went to the cardio Dr today to get the go ahead and he said no. Pulse was 120.  He gave me some pills to help bring it down and if it does, I can try again. So it looks like it will be a couple of weeks at least. He's going to look at my heart in about a week. So wish me luck!! I'm getting so weak from not being able to do anything. To see me walk you would think I was drunk!! I quit taking the amitriptyline 2 days ago didn't take any tramadol yesterday either. I'm trying to get off of every thing. I don't like the tramadol anyway. When I went through WD'S it's a wonder I didn't have a heart attack. I need prayers please

Praying for you girl. Praying the meds bring down that bp and you can have the surgery. Please let us know how you are doing.

Thank all of you. The Dr gave me Metoprolo tartrate 25. Who knows, maybe I'll be able to have it done in a couple of weeks. And yes i'm glad they are on top of this. I haven't taken an ambien in about 3 weeks or longer. I've been sleeping good without anything. Praise God. I'm just not one to lay around all day. But that's about all I can do now, the pills used to help me. no, no,no, I'm not going to even think about it. 1st  think it, 2nd do it, 3rd WD,S again if your lucky.

I feel for you Tooter....I, too, had a delay in a medical procedure and had to see the cardiologist first.....and finally got cardiac clearance.  It's good that they are keeping an eye on all aspects, right?

I know you probably don't want to hear this....but you shouldn't just STOP the ami......it should be tapered and their are discontinuation symptoms/syndrome to adjust to and tough out.  Hope you didn't just do this on your own and talked to one of your drs about it.  If you are off the ambien now....going off the ami abruptly may mess with your sleep.

Oh...sweet Tooter...prayers coming your way.  I'm glad they caught this though prior to surgery but I know how crappy you must be feeling knowing it is post-poned.  Thinking of you dear lady and saying some prayers!
