Two years clean today Thank you Lord

Today I am 2 years clean off oxys, I would like to thank all that helped me get to this place. I want to thank my beautiful soulmate, all the great people on this forum and My Lord for giving me the strenght and knowledge to get to this point in my sobriety.

I want to say to all of you that are just starting out on their journey down the road to sobriety hang in there. At times it can be a struggle and a very bumpy road filled with pot holes. But with perseverance and aftercare you can make down that road.  Aftercar will help you avoid or at least navigate the bumps and potholes thats why it is so key in staying sober. So to all you can make it and Keep on Keepin on. God Bless you all---Rick

You are truly an inspiration, I read your original thread and was moved by it. It made me finally make the move to quit a 5 year oxycontin habit. I know I am in for a rough time but I hope I can make all the way and one day say that I have 2 years clean. Thank you for being here for me

I have been taken Oxys for about 3 years now. I felt like I could never have the strength to do this. But I have had a wonderful girlfriend for about a year now and she finally caught on to my drug problem. She don't touch drugs so it's kind of hard for her to understand what a terrible demon oxy is. But she is here for me and she sent me a link to this web site about a week ago. I came across your thread and I read it from beginning to end and was amazed by your attitude and strength and the help of complete strangers that was there for you. To make a long story short your battle inspired me that it can and will be done. With the support of my girlfriend, and knowing someone that's in my shoes has that kind of strength to overcome this gave me what I needed. I just want to thank you for the inspiration.I got wed-sun off from work so wed the fight begins. I hope to have the same strength u did. Thanks again and glad to see you are still truckin
