The Final Shot Has Been Fired

I've been clean now for around 14 days.  Been feeling great until this morning and I started to get pain under my ribs on the right side.  Looks like the liver and gall bladder are not completely detoxed and this was the drugs way of saying good-bye.  Took some Tums for immediate relief (it felt like when you take aspirin or a vitamin on an empty stomach) and then 2 Motrin and its gone now.  I remembered the one time in the past that I got off the meds after a surgury and had the same thing happen.

Once the Motrin kicked in, another strange thing happened.  I felt totally normal.  Not the normal I've been feeling, which has been great, but normal-normal.  I haven't taken my energy supplement this afternoon and feel "smooth".

Goodbye and f*(&k off Mr. Drug.  You tried to take me down and I won.

Congrats and praise. It takes a lot to do this. Enjoy the triumph. But, please, don't get over confident. I felt the same way at day 14 then 2 days later had a horrible craving. I don't want to take your thunder away, just be prepared to keep fighting. I did. Fathers day was my one month and I spent it with my kids. Again, congrats, and keep going.
