day 5!!!!!! and my first n.a meeting

Sorry actuly 10pm denver time be day 5 ialso havnt taken any krantom for two days. It was realy awsome to go to a n.a meeting at first i was affraid i felt like a total failure drug addict dad but not only was i excepted with open arms most importantly i wasnt alone i wasnt the only drug addict in the world i wasnt the only one that used pills to cope. I wasnt alone.. It tuly opened my eyes and ther was every kind of person there from every walk of life. It was so good to get it out and share and not be juged just commended for fighting for my freedom. Anyway it is awsome and i truly recomend it for anyone that truly wants and needs help.. Also i realy im not feelig bad at all i think going to work every day helps alot and it keeps me busy. Still little sleep but i have a better outlook so i know sleep will be back i hope...

What a great post. You have a great attitude and the desire to move on. Good for you. Hit as many meetings as possible. Working and keeping busy is important it will keep your mind off your detox. We want you to stay clean and sober get as much support as possible.
Keep on keepin on,

I just got home from my NA home group. You remind me of how I felt at my first meeting. It was an AA meeting in 1982. I was walking down the basement steps of a big church. When I got below on the steps and saw- probably 75 to 100 people sitting at tables I turned to the guy who had given me a ride to the meeting and asked " are all of these people alcoholics.?" He said yes. I couldn't believe it. I suddenly felt like I had come home. I was no longer alone with my disease. I felt those people were going to help me get my life back. And they did. I'm now in NA also. For me it's the only thing that has ever worked. Congratulations on your first meeting!! Your story was very uplifting for me.

Huge KUDOS on Day 5 (and also the two off the kratom!!)!!!!!!

Loved reading that you went to your first meeting and felt accepted and understood.  I remember (many, many moons back) when I went to my first meeting......I sat there listening in awe.....because it was like "my feelings" were coming out of another total stranger's mouth!  I didn't feel like a square peg trying to fit into a round hole for the first time in a VERY long time.  It blessed me BIG time....glad it did you, too!

May your recovery days grow and grow.......blessings to you~
