Congrats! Same sentiments here... Stories like yours inspired me.

I'm only 11 days in but what a difference. Today I am so looking forward to going to my son's lacrosse match, clean and free. Instead of it being annoyed (i.e. what time does this end so i can so sit by myself and start enjoying my vicodin). How pathetic!

Life is so much better.

Thanks!

Hi, I'm curious...I'm no Sub right now for treating depression.  I've had mixed results. I might or might not stay on it.  I've been taking it for about 2 months now.  I'm taking two 2mg tabs a day totaling 4mg per day.  I was wondering what dosage you were taking and if you had any side effects like shallow breathing a tightness in the chest, anxiety.  For me the most was having trouble breathing, especially at night.  About a week ago I started having trouble breathing....so much so that I'd almost fall asleep and my body would just jerk itself awake as if I did go to sleep I wouldn't wake up.  I was VERY close to going to the ER for two days.  Currently I'm still having slight breathing problems but it's almost gone now.  It's getting better every day.  I also had some edema (swelling) on my left ankle.  I was told to look for that if I thought I was having heart problems, which I did last year and had similar symptoms (except worse....I did end up going to ER then) last year when I started taking Vicodin, but was told the Vicodin wouldn't cause this.

Anyway, I might be going off the Sub and was wondering what sort of w/d symptoms you had and how long did they last?  Thanks!

Hello there,
Let me just start by asking why your doctor would give SUB's for depression? or were you taking the vicodine and need the SUB's to get off?  If that is the case, PLEASE do whatever you can to stop taking the SUB's!  There very addicting, and are much worse to get off!  I was a vicodin junkie, and went thru many battles...I was taking then WD for 5 days I was back on and then WD for 5 days??? It was a long battle, but then I found the SUB's and thought that they were the best things ever!!! I could feel normal, and be myself with no WD symptoms...Everything was great untill 1 year later and I thought well im off the tabs why not stop the SUB's and Holy Crap waS I in for it.  I went cold turkey at 8mgs a day.  I took 4 mgs a day for about 6 months and the full 8 for the last 6 months totaling 1 year.  I didnt feel any symptoms for 2 days, but then it hit me and its not pleasant! So start tapering down now, and get off that drug,k..PLEASE!!!...You dont need it!!!  The swelling feet and the tough breathing I did not have... I was just always tired and laid around. It was like a prison for me.  If I were you I would go back to the doc and have them check your heart again, just to be sure.

Oh and definately go to your doc and geta real depression perscription.  I take Lexapro and it works well for me ;)  If I didnt answer any of your ?'s please ask again or some of the other peeps here. This forum is AMAZING!!! Everyone is willing to do whatever it takes to help!!!!  Please keep me informed, and message anytime!!!!
