Vicodine withdrawls-depression

I was on vicodine/oxy for 4 years up to 10 daily, I stopped taking them almost 3 weeks ago, but the crying, shaky and depression feelings isnt going away. Does anyone know how long this will last? I cant eat, I dont go out, I dont want to do anything, no energy!  I just want to feel good again!

my heart goes out to you, i know how you feel , i came off codeine ct and after about day 8 the really bad depression set in, i felt so sad, couldnt stop crying. i was shaky and panicky also , i just wanted to not go anywhere, or do anything and wasnt sleeping well even though i felt so very tired.
i told myself this is just part of the withdrawal, it wont last forever, and i really forced myself to go for walks, it was so hard ! but i did it, and cleaned the house ,just tried to keep busy in general, i even did crosswords and puzzles, just to try to take my mind off how i felt, to keep occupied, it did help me a lot , i started to sleep better too, exercising really, really did help, i promise it will get better. look after yourself,

It typicaly takes about 21 days for the body to start producing its own endorphines after we stop taking pills. Please keep in mind that everyone is different. The very best thing that you could be doing right now to jump start the process is excersise and diet. I know you don't feel like it but you will be amazed at how much it will help you and how better you will feel after. Force yourself to get up and move. Start walking, running, anything that will get your cardio going. Push yourself everyday! You can do this!

Good Luck..
