Night 11 and not sleeping...

So I have gone through 11 days, and on the 11tg night I can't get to sleep?!? This doesn't make mama happy. I got magnesium and potassium for the restless arms, and that isn't even the problem. I just can't drift off. I've never not been able to sleep, pills or not, and I am afraid I am going to go crazy if I don't. I know this is temporary, but I am kicking myself over and over for doing this to my body and my mind. Ok. Pity party over.

My sleep still isn't right.. 2-4 hours a night! But I KNOW it will get better! I nap IF and when I can to compensate!

Ditto with the Above..Sleep will come on its own time..I will not even say how many days I went with out sleep..I c/t 3 meds that made me go up & down and all around..BUT when the sleep came back, that was all I wanted to do..I called it my "Catch up Sleep" Just have Patience and try not to fight it or put a time limit on it..Every thing will balance out on its own time..I wish you the best..May the sand man come to you tonight.
Bless
PS the Melatonin works wonders with the Magnz, Potassium and Cal & Ds at night..

I'm so sorry you are having a hard time with sleep. That can be so rough and I feel your pain! I have always been a troubled sleeper, and it's been much worse since I got clean. It seems to (for me at least) go through phases. I recently had a rough 2 weeks and decided to give Melatonin a try. I don't know why I waited until 9 months clean to try it, but  it really helps. I have been taking the 10mg ones nightly (they are timed release so you get 5 mg instantly and 5 mgs throughout the night) and I've slept soundly. They do come in smaller doses too. Other than that, just try to not dwell too much on not being able to sleep. I know I tend to stress myself over whether I'll sleep or not and it becomes a vicious cycle. Just know that you are doing great and you will sleep again soon! Hang in there!

My detox was hell. Horrible. BUT I posted more (complained) about not sleeping than I did about detoxing. It took me about a week or more before regular sleep returned. So I focused on being clean - my eyes stung but I was proud of what I'd accomplished. The time passed.
Be proud of yourself.
