Day 3 is here

Well I just entered day 3 a few hours ago (CT off of oxys), it's another restless night but at least I have this to be proud of.  I'm stilll feeling really crappy but its nowhere near what I've been through the last couple of days.  I wish I could get some sleep and feel a little more energetic but I know that will come in time.  Also a thank you to all those who have helped me get through these first 50+ hours. I can never forget the time and dedication you all provide in helping others.  You all are awesome!

I'm on day 7... which I realized is really on day 6 1/2 since I started in the middle of the day on Thursday last week!  It really does get so much better after the 3rd day!  I'm thinking of you!!!  Am really proud of you for sticking through with it!

Like everyone said here man......HANG IN THERE.....It seems like time is just creaping by but today and tomorrow will be much better.....Soon each day will get better and better but keep in mind that you need to prepare for the fact that it is going to be a couple of weeks before you feel back to normal....The bad bad stuff is almost over but if you use again all of that time was for not!  You will have to go through the three day horror again and again.  Try to get some of those vitamins and protien shakes down you if you can....The more you put into your detox the more you will get out of it.....If you can exercise it will REALLY REALLY help shorten the overall detox time.....Good luck and you are almost through this.....God bless and good luck!

I am on day 7. MUCH better than day 3. Hang in there! We can do it! The anxiety and the loss of appetite are present, but that is expected after using such a NASTY drug, right?!!

Q your doing great congrats on 3+ days. Those cravings ae coming for you addict brain trying to trick you into thinking it would be ok if I just took one. Don't let it steer you off course keep to the straight and narrow and with time you WILL overcome and quiet that additive voice. I am pulling for you. God Bless---Rick

today has been a real battle, I am fighting cravings for the first time just to get some energy, or that what my minds telling me.  Day one was horribble but today i feel really drained.  I dont want to go backwards and really need the encouragement to keep going forward. I have to do this, this is the farthest I've ever gone without using and I don't want to go back but it stilll is a struggle I never thought it would be at this stage.  Shows how much I know. Please keep posting words of encouragement cause it really helps.  Thank you all!

Congrats on the three days.....I am on day 5.5 today and I definitely feel better but am still a long way from the finish line.  You might want to try some of the amino therapy suggestions and get some protien shakes.  Vitamins and suppliments along with the shakes really have helped in the past.  I know that exercise seems out of the question right now but if you can get up and just walk a bit, it will shorten your total detox time considerably.  I definitely feel a lot better than I did 1-3 days but the lack of sleep, energy, and anxiety/cravings are extremely annoying BUT....Like many people say on this site....It took us a while to get to this point and it will take us a while to get out of it!  I like that comment because it makes you personally accountable for your actions.  With that being said....Plain and simple....detox blows!  The more you put into it the more you will get out of it with the help of the aforementioned suppliments.....Congrats and definitely look into AA or NA when you feel up to leaving the house....It truly is the ONLY way to get completely sober for any length of time....Good luck and God Bless!

As you know I'm having the same probs with sleep/insomnia and my sister recomends Melatonin,,,maybe if I can stomach it I'll give it a try tonight...congrats on 3 days clean!!

Congratulations on making it to day 3, it is an accomplishment and you should be proud of it. After the acute WDs, the lethargy and insomnia are the most challenging. Energy seems to return, slowly mind you, before sleep makes its appearance. The next 5-7 days will probably be no picnic (energy and sleep), but each one does get better. Time is your enemy and friend right now. Every second of every minute of every hour of every day may seem to take forever, but you are that much closer to being free from the pills. Hang in, you are well on your way.

A full spectrum multi-vitamin, B complex and L-Tysorine are helpful for energy. Melatonin is OK for sleeping. Walgreens should have them all, maybe not the L-Tysorine, but it is available from any vitamin store.

Good luck and keep doing what you are doing. Days 7,14, 21 and 30, etc are waiting for you!
