Like Life360 said, we can't give you specific tapering information.  I do suggest taking a look at the Thompson Recipe Re-posted at the bottom right of the page (minus the Valium) This may help you figure our an appropriate detox plan. The great news is that you are ready to give these demon pills up for good.  Who do you have in regards to support?  One thing I really emphasize is the need to have numerous outlets to help you get through this process; MedHelp, NA, Family ETC.  You can never have enough support!!

Im on day 40 from 8 a day to 3. With that much less in my system i am no longer afraid of withdrawals. I will reduce futher this week to 2 1/2. The best taper is a slow taper. We cant give dose recommendations but maybe ask your doctor to help with this. The trick is to get to a controlable level. Only the first 2 days was a little difficult. The thing with slow tapers is that you get used to the feeling of coming down and the less sever the better. You want to get out of the panic mode.
