What to expect and how to prepare going off hydro

I've been taking Hydrocodone in small a (after reading other posts is a small amount 1-3 pills7.5 mgs) for over 10 years, I usually take a 1/2 at a time. I've tried weaning and just end up going back up to the usual amount. What can I expect, going off of them cold turkey? My family and friends don't know, they know I take meds for migraines but not that I HAVE to take them every day, mostly because I'm psychologically and probably physically dependent on them too. So far today I didn't take the 1/2 that I usually take first thing in the morning, I went for a walk with my best friend and now I'm going to do some yard work. I figure if I stay busy and physically acitve that would help. I also know I get cramping in my legs so need some advise on what to take to prevent this during wd. I'm so glad this site is here and that I can get the advise direction from those that are also going through or have been through the same thing! Thanks!

I started taking 3 7.5 a day in Feb this year. A car accident and herniated disc to blame. I went down to 2 a day then 1. Each day I try not to take it but my whole body aches like the flu. It's crazy! I feel so cold and achy I can't take it! When will that end if I stop? Will anything help that feeling?

The support is here for both of you. No matter how much or how little you take. I was told once and will never forget- "It's not what you take, how often you take it or how much. It's what you do when you take it"   That made so much sense when I quit drinking and it means as much now. It's the depression that is my action and I can stop it by quitting. Or at least reduce it dramatically. What's your result? If you are here then there is something negative about your use. Day 5 and in pain but somewhat sane and proud.

I new to groups and not certain how to use this one.

I have been taking hydrocodone for 7 years. about 4-5 a day.  I have wanted to stop and can't seem to do it.  Ive had some problems with aches and pains and a problem with nerve pain in my hands.  I really think that the hydrocodone has caused aches and pains.  I'm always tired and I can't get motivated.
