How much longer

Been on norco, ms-contin, fentanyl, dilaudid for almost 3 years now. Decided it was enough monday and dropped it all. Been through 7 surgeries in that time including testicular cancer. Its been 2 and a half days. How much longer will this last? I am freezing!

I never go through withdrawal without my trusty 1800 watt blow dryer propped up next to me to regulate my body temperature when I can't stand to have blankets touch me. I would recommend the high setting for fentanyl and dilaudid.

You are doing great, even though it may not feel like it at the moment.  I agree with the eagle- the physical symptoms may only hang on for a few days, but the mental part/depression kicks in after that.  Once you are able to get up and move around, fight that mental monster with all your might.  Exercise, therapy, NA (for some), posting here all help.  Soon, you will be on the other side.  I am 25 days clean from norcos, and I am glad I am learning how to live my life without the pills.  I feel great- just know that it gets better.  Great job on quitting!

Leave it to theeagle to crack a good joke!...lol You really have to watch him sometimes!!!!!
Like he said, you were on quite a few different meds and some strong ones. His time line also seems accurate. I know for me by day 5 or so I started coming around. What lasted the longest for me was the lack of sleep and energy. It just takes our bodies and mind time to get back on track. The amino acid protocol really helped me. Be sure to eat healthy, push the fluids, and exercise. I felt exercise helped more than anything. It may seem impossible to muster up the energy to do so, but force yourself even if it's just a short walk at first. When I walked I would toss in some headphones and I felt like I was in my own little world and barely noticed withdrawals during my jogs.
Most of all just stay mentally strong and know that this will pass. The pain we endure during withdrawals is worth every second of living a drug free life. Come on here and post often with updates. It's good to look back on here to remind yourself of the fight you went through. Hang in there and best of luck!

Thats quite a smorgasboard of narcotics.  Everyone is different - no one size fits all answers.......  but I would think that you have 3-4-or 5 days left....... and then be prepared for a wicked depression.  Maybe find an electric blanket for the temperature thing......Read the Amino Acid Protocols in the health pages and also the Thomas Recipe - - lot of good info there............you will have some more questions and all. Keep posting with those and anything else that comes to mind.........     Oh yeah - - your profile says that you are female?  How does that work with testicular cancer?   Good luck !!!
