Don't stop believing. I saw that song live in GoldenGate Park. It must have been 1990 when Bill Graham Died. Journey was one of the best performers I ever saw. I was chatting with Steve Perry in a restaraunt a couNeil Young shared how Bill helped him get off opiates, the CSNY sang Teach Your Children.
Oops, I messed that one all up. Anyway, very inspiring time. Steve Perry is very down to earth man. He has a big heart and you can feel it when he performs. Don't stop believing!

I was raised on country too! LOTS of OLD country! Im talking MERLE HAGGARD, JOHNNY CASH, DAVID ALAN COE, STATLER BROTHERS, CHARLIE PRIDE, LORETTA LYNN! Lol Im 35 but have the music tastes of an 80 year old! BWAHAHA! I Love ALL kinds of music EXCEPT hard gangsta rap, opera, and elevator music...lol

Growing up in Austin, then living all over Cali, I've seen more bands than I can remember. I was talking to my wife about Austin Aqua Festival, it doesn't happen anymore, but it was awesome. I saw Santana, Roger Miller, Cheap Trick, Willie Nelson, Asleep at the Wheel, Paula Abdul, and a bunch of amazing small time artists in one night. That Bill Graham memorial was Journey, Jackson Brown, Bobby McFerran, The Grateful Dead, Crosby Still Nash and Young, Tracy Chapman, Robin Williams did a skit, and....I can't even remember all of it. Bill Graham was the greatest concert promoter of all time, so many people influenced by that man. Austin is a little bit of everything, Country, blues, rock, jazz, heavy metal, punk rock, you name it. I like it all, if it's done well. I miss music festivals, they seem to be fading away. Angels Camp is pretty good, that's close to you. I saw Galactic play a 4 hour show there, super funky, then they played an encore until sunrise. I miss the Grateful Dead, they really knew how to throw a party. Phish is pretty cool, but they're no Gerry Garcia. I want to go to Terrapin Station one more time. Ahhhh, the good ole days.
I just had a flashback to seeing dive bands. Shout, shout at the Angel, hold back the hands of time. That was an old Butthole Surfers song, back when they where a funk band, nobody knew them back in the early 80's. So many good memories.
I'm not sure a concert comes within a 100 miles of me. Lol. Or that I wouldn't be terrified of that many people in one place! But, I can rock some pandora!
Today is day 12! Who would have thought? All the times I postponed and thought it would be too hard? Lol. If I only knew that 12 days later I would be enjoying the day on the front steps. Brisket on the smoker. German choc cake waiting on me in the kitchen. I had forgotten.
I'd take the concert scariness risk to see Tom Petty! I tried to catch the Mojo tour, but it was too far for me with the best friends health.
My music is playing!!! Life is good. And your east coast momma is so flipping proud of you!!!
O man music festivals are best I camped out all four days 10 yrs straight at country thunder in az from 11 to 21 sooooo fun ESP yr ten lol... Age factor... But next yr I was into other stupid things.... Time to get back to those music festivals they happen all. The time here in CALI it seems like....
Hey want what up! Man im sorry I missed the convo about going to mexico It wouldnt let me post last night. The flower power bus and tie dye shirt sounded fun... besides all of us including digger in mexico ...Man that could be some wild times , drugs wouldnt even be envolved ...lol
Tom Petty and the HB are in my top three best concerts ever!!!! He's coming out with a new album soon. I am sure a tour will follow. Saw him at the Jones Beach Theatre, 5th row center. Lucinda Williams opened for him. She's GREAT as well!!!! What a great show!!
You continue to amaze me!!!!!

No worries..... :-) I'm glad all my pals are doing well I just had to take headphones off for one of first times in 10 days and stop working out for a few hours n having one of those clarity moments today... As is said... A good thing... I guess? Lol ... But ROCK IT OUT N never back down look at mojo on day 12 chowin n feeling good.... U go girl.... I WILL NOT LET NE OF U DOWN AND HOPEFULLY I CAN CONTINUE TO INSPIRE IT MEANS THE WORLD!
Thankfully I spend most every weekend at my fellas house. It's my safe place. Just me and him. The dog. Sometimes two dogs. It's like an instant life shut down. Very healing for me. I'm thanking God for this man every day. He lets me be just me.
I may gain some weight though! And I'm going through bottles of cleaning solution keeping myself busy. I'm battling some emotional moments. The tears from nowhere are the one thing that drives me nuts!
I couldn't post on that old thread. My heart literally flip flopped when you made that first post! We've came a long way west coast youngin!
Yeah having a real drained receptor day myself.... Very touchy...
