Have you noticed your hearing has suffered also? or sight?
My hearing was becoming a joke. Thank God, it did come back though and the memory after i quit. Also the pain was not as bad. The pain will get real bad at first- to make you take the drugs, but after several days it gets lighter and lighter. many have agreed with this.
Slow taper is how i was able to do it. Took the same thing as you (10/650) but only 9 pills a day. 1 month of tappering that was bearable and almost no withdrawl when it was over.
I had tried cold turkey many times and just could not handle it. There is a way out for you. Many of us have done it already and you can too.
It is hard. I have taken pain killers on and off for the last 10 years. This time is different. This time I couldnt just make myself quit. I want to so badly. I am going to jump in and do it though. Its time to change.
I have had similiar using habits as you.same dosage and same timeframe. not as bad as many but bad enough as to know from experience that NO it will not be easy. I used to be a meth addict and this is harder to quit. I have quit many times. Cold turkey which is pure hell. the Suboxone route which, if you really follow it the way you are suppose to, I believe could be the most successful and tapering, which is not as bad as cold turky but can be very tricky. you will suffer some withdrawl from tapering and the Sub route. I have tried to quit many times and I guess I'm just not to my bottom because I keep going back. Im on day one AGAIN. I cant belive I let myself do this to myself again. I wish I would have tapered more slowly. good luck. I have no more energy to type.
Thank you for the replies. I have been diagnosed with Fibro and Chronic Pain Disorder. Whenever I try to stop the meds, the pain comes, along with the anxiety. Do you know of alternatives for the pain? I have tried the typical asprins-no luck.
GTMI said it...What do you have to lose? EXCEPT more then u have....WE are here to help you..It is not easy, but the time it takes is nothing compared to lifetime of misery...
god bless

No easy way, sorry. Recovery, even after getting off takes a long time to restore your body and mind back to normal. Many months.
the good news is it can be done. What do you have to lose, besides more memory and money?
