Withdrawals

I'm starting to ween myself off of lortab 10 and I want to know if I'm weening myself off, will I still have wd's? How long til I start to have wd's? Ugg I'm so not looking forward to doing this but I'm tired of taking them ,as strange as that sounds!

Hey and welcome!
If you go to my posts, you will see how I am doing it. And I am doing it via taper. The only things I can suggest is to taper ONLY if you have someone keep them from you. Give them to someone to dole out to you . IF you can't find anyone to do it, then just dump em. I am from 40 lortabs per day, to 3 today. I just took first dose. Tomorrow I go down to 2 (if I don't flush em).
I suffered detox symptoms because i cut my use in half and did a "quick taper". I gave my pills to my boyfriend, deleted phone numbers for any and all contacts, and found God, rather quickly.
You can do it either way. You have support here either way.
We can get you thru it, God can carry you thru it, and keep on posting. Let us know what you are going to do so we know how to help you.

I tried to ween but could never do it...I had to just quuit and it was scary as hell but you know what it wansn't that bad.  I felt like **** half the time on the pills anyway and was sick and tired of being sick and tired.  Your disease is telling you you can't do it but you can.  Do you remember your life before the pills well you lived fine without them then and can do it again;  I had to go to AA meetings and get suppport from other addicts Good luck and just don't be afraid of the boogy man called withdrawal it is not nearly as bad as death.
