Hope

I did the rapid detox in Dec.  Never do this!

I want to thank this site and everyone for their help!  I so needed this site and the people are incredible!

I'm still slowly recovering but for the first time I actually have some hope I am going to make it.  I'm moving even though it is at a snails pace.  I'm taking vitamins and need to add some more when I can get out and get them.

I saw my PT today and she said my back and hip pain are because I am out of alignment and rotation so there is hope that just therapy will solve that!  I was so afraid another disk had collapsed.  I will still get that checked out in Feb.

I know I'm not through this yet and will no doubt need more help but you have no idea what this site has done for me.

I only wish I had found it sooner and had the scoop on the rapid detox.  It would have saved me more than my money, but I think my health as well.

Again, I thank everyone who answered my questions and for all advice.  I'm sure I will have more questions as time goes on, but I really wasn't sure I was going to make it.  Thank you for being there!

Sara, I so learned my lesson the hard way about rapid detox.  You would not believe the lies I was told and believe me I checked to the very best of my ability.  I even talked with members of the hospital who shouldn't have been involved in this. I talked with nurses, supposed patients (ringers, I now believe) and did every bit I could to figure this out.

Brian,
I think they really took a toll on my body and heaven only knows what they gave me before I was at least coherent enough to figure out they were giving me stuff I had NOT signed I would take and was able to stop that.  I am extremely sensitive to meds and vitamins.  They looped me so well I was having hallucinations one night.  And yes, this forum and all of you are a lifesaver!

Amy,

No, I wouldn't have gone back to taking those horrid pills.  In fact when I first got back and was so sick I went in to see my doc.  First thing out of her mouth was where were the oxys, etc.  I was so mad at her, my hubby and my friend that they thought I was  stupid enough to take the stuff again, so my doc didn't get the pills for another week and I didn't tell anyone where they were.  Spite is not my normal nature.  They all should know me better!  A stash she called it.  Back in my day a stash would have been marijuana and no, I didn't do that.

The pain was a major issue but the neurontin seems to help with it, outside of making me not able to see straight.  I will go to get testing to see if there is anything I can take to help with the pain that is not going to cause problems.  I desperately need to be able to take an anti inflammatory of some sort.

I was so discouraged with the back and hip because I do not have it in me for any more surgery but the chance therapy will work is my hope.  I seriously had expected the pain to go away after the detox!  The surgeon had told me it was a picture perfect surgery on the fusion.  He also told me I had been mismanaged on getting off the drugs.

There is no way my doc will prescribe me any more of those drugs, so I really don't have to worry and I do not want to end up in that maze again.

The saddest thing is I thought I would finally be able to drive but my mind is not focusing well enough for me to do that yet.  I think I am more of a danger now than I would have been had I tried to drive on the oxy and percocets.  That is frustrating!!!

A slow recovery but a recovery none the less.

Bless you all.

Lizzy

You are really starting to feel better, and THAT is a wonderful thing to read. You will get thru it. It will take time. As much as we love to hold true that there is a way to "rapidly" remove the toxins and just move on about our life without thinking twice of the pain, I find it rarely works that way.
If you hadn't felt all this pain and discomfort, whose to say you wouldn't be right back to abusing them? Ya know? So be grateful that it is turning around and keep moving forward.
Great news about your back pain!!!!
Best,
Amy

It sounds like you are slowly coming around which is wonderful! Seems like your body went through quite a shock with the rapid detox. Just keep doing what you are doing and I'm sure you'll be feeling better before you know it.
This forum is a amazing place and who knows where I'd be without all of the wonderful and caring people here! It's truly a lifesaver!!
Best of luck Lizzy!!!!! Hang in there!
