Ohh ok! those meetings are free right? Lol. I'll have to google some in Louisiana. Today's my third day on my wellbutrin.I've lowered my tramadol down to 4. It was supposed to be 2 but I slipped. :/ tomorrow will be my first day without any tramadol. I'm posting encouraging sticky notes all over the house to remind me I'm a LOT stronger than I think. The wellbutrin is helping a little I think with the mental part though. I just have to remember the physical withdrawals will only last a little while! Thank y'all for your help!
Hi Again.
First we do not like to push Pot around here as it is a Mind-Altering Substance and we all are trying are best to stay clear of Drugs/Booze..
However, to each there own.
NA is just Like AA it is Narcotic Anonymous. It is a great place to talk about your Addiction to others face to face and it is a place that you will pick up lots of Tools and/or Coping skill toward life. There are all kinds of different Aftercare out here. Meaning that the detox is the first thing and it will pass but the Disease of Addiction has no cure but it can be arrest at some point. It takes ton of work to change ones Behaviors. For a Addict it is a life long Process and it is not over in a week or so. There is so much to Drug/Med Addiction just like Alcoholics. They are they same when it comes to becoming addicted. Most people have there drug of choice too.
They have also been studying this in a more Scientific way and can tell alot what goes on in the Brain and in some case all about these Genes(D2cell) being passed down.
In order to stay clean and not go out and hide on a substance when life get a bit tough, we have to always have some kind of Support in these times of troubles. There is so so so so much to this Disease.
Just stick around and we do have all kinds of experience out here. Some are only days away and others are yrs away. The further you are out in this recovery the harder one has worked at it too. However, we all have one thing in common, that is for sure.. It would be a good thing to check out a meeting and either one AA/NA is a good start.
Bless
Just wait till you quit, then do it. Look I'm young like you im only 23 I partied my *** off in college, you need to hop off the ****!! If anything just smoke weed, least that way you can feed your addiction while getting off the harder stuff and then just come off that. Maybe check out NA this time, a guy told me this and this is what made me go to NA, cause I wasn't going to that bs. I can do it on my own, well I'm an addict I cant, this man said " you never see NA members posting about their relaspes do you?" That's the gods honest truth that statement hit me like a tone of bricks. I know it's scary but you can do this, I think calling your friend would be a good idea. Buy some OTC drugs to help with w/d..
Neveragain really?? I don't keep up with this stuff! I'm still living at home with my parents and they were paying for my health insurance but couldn't afford it anymore so cancelled it. So I've been paying $100++ for my doctor visits!!!

Vicourageous, no I never got into any program or anything. :/ I never even fully stopped. they don't even make me feel like they used to! I'm just running from the withdrawals. I know my connections number by heart, where he lives, where his friends live, where he works. So if I don't take the wellbutrin to help then I'm seriously considering getting a friend about 45 minutes away to come pick me up and let me stay at her house for a few days for the worst of the WDs. I know if I'm home with my car I'll cave.
Honey,
How do you have no health insurance? Under the Affordable Care Act (Obamacare), yearly physicals are free, as are ob-gyn visits for women (once a year.) Also, you do have access to very inexpensive health insurance (if you have no job, the rate will be extremely low; at least it is in my state...we have our own exchange.)
Hi This.
I see you are still with us.
Did you ever get some Aftercare going at all?
Just know that the Adderral & Tramadol are not fun to detox out but it can be done.
In my opinion and speaking from experience, I would give yourself at least a few months or more AFTER you stopped ALL drugs. Give your Brain Time to clear up and balance back. These meds do whack out our Brain Chemistry which also affects are Body! The Trams have a component in them that hits the Serotonin just like a AD med. The Adderral hits yet another Transmitter. Just try to give your self time to heal before you go onto something else.
HOWEVER, that is just my own experience and I am NO DR. SO if you want to do this keep close with the DR and plz do not buy things off the streets. Wishing you the best!
We are here for YOU!
Bless
