hi all my friend with going throught a bit of w/d from vic right now. feeling anxious, depressed, help what should he do???? can he take anotjher 1/2 a pill not to loose it or a beer (he is asking) is there anything to help????

Hi monkey, I now you are suffering right along with him. But he will get through this. It will not be easy, make sure he has plenty of fluids, make him eat, have him take hot baths, and it is also good for him to go for walks. Rememmber that this will not be easy and if you keep giving him pills then he will just prolong the WDs.

thanks guys, i will pass it on. we are new to this and i am his only outlet, i am trying to get him on here but hasnt happened yet. i get scared when he is like this, i just want him to feel ok. thank you so much for the info, yes he has xanax. do you think we tapered too quickly for him??

A half a pill will help him. However it will prolong the inevitable. He could go take a hot hot baths wich will help. If he has any xanax or valium that would help. I used two half pills for 3 days then went c/t and it was'nt to bad. It was still hard but doable. I would only take the half when I just could'nt take it anymore. After 3 days of that my body adjusted to where I was able to c/t fairly easy. Good luck.

He is on a taper ( i think) .  This is the hard part of tapering.  Every time it gets ruff you want to take a pill and it kinda defeats the purpose.  Sometimes cold turkey is better, but thats for him to decide.  See if he can just hold out until his next scheduled dose.  I know it's hard , but one way or another it's got to be done.  Also I don't think a beer will help.  I tried some wine and it didn't do a thing. It also can weaken his resolve to do this.  Sorry I'm not much help.

he has 3 and 1/2 on him he took 5 and 1/2 today, coming down from 15-20 a day. i do have a bottle of 90 but we are not together. he started tapering yesterday. using about 1 1/2 years

How many pills does he have left? How many does he take a day? Does he work? How long has he been using them?
