bad day

feeling crappy today. It's day # 11 tapering down from a 14 year addiction to Tramadevil. I am only taking 2 a day now and my skins burning and it's all I can think about. I pace the floors for hours, but have no energy. I think I am going to take the last 2 tomorrow and then be done with it. If I had just went cold turkey 11 days ago like I had planned....I would be through this part.

I would definitely just get it over with. I think I'm on day 5, and I'm feeling much better going cold turkey. Oh, wait I took one loratab 10 during that time when things got bad....I still have some mad anxiety at times, but over all much better. Good Luck

Hey Singha, I'm still here.  Remember how I was suicidal on Sunday.  Well I'm still feeling sick, but I am hanging in there.

Let's hang in there together.  It will get better for both of us.  Don't beat yourself up over what you did or didn't do.

We're all in this together, at different stages.

Try to keep in mind that "this too shall pass."

You can't really say that Tramadol is weaker or stronger than other opiates. It's a completely different type of drug which acts on different receptors in the brain.

Doctors often think it is safer than other opiate because that's what the manufacturers claimed when it first came out. Now we know different. It's a really BAD drug to take. the manufacturers have now changed the warnings on their patient information leaflet.

Under its influence people do really insane things, then can't remember anything about it afterwards. Hallucinations are also common.

It has a list of side effects as long as your arm and the withdrawal syndrome can be severe, with unpleasant symptoms that don't occur with any other opiate, including lowering the seizure threshold.

Tramadol need to be treated with a LOT of respect. Anyone who's had any mental health or emotional problems, and anyone who's ever had dependency problems with other pain pill need to stay a mile away from it.

HI.....tapering is ruff sometimes...I tapered off methadone and remember going in and out of withdrawals for 8/12 mo it was difficult to say the least...I dont have personal experience with tram but I have read many a story on this forum about it...when it comes to tapering once your down to a low enough dose to jump then just do it...I know tram is like methadone and has to be tapered but your probably low enough now to jump and get it over with...just watch out for lasting depression sometimes people need an antidepressant after coming off that stuff ...keep posting for support we all want to see you succeed good luck and God bless

I love that you call it tramadevil. And Im glad so many people are getting their stories about that bad drug out there. This way it wont be misconceived(spelling) as being a non addictive drug. It sure is the devil! You are doing great and it will get better and better.

I agree to get this over with and flush the rest. It is like do you want to pull the band aid off fast or slow, either way it is going to ouch.

If you stop now in 4 or 5 days you will be feeling so much better. Hang in there.
