Hello old friend!  I don't take naps either. I never was a napper.  I just can't sleep during the day. Some people I know are up all night and sleep all day, because they want to!!  To me, I like to sleep all night and get up in the morning. Oh well, to each his own. Good luck. Why did you stop the Ambiens?

I know I need to get off my butt and do something. The reason I don't want to take naps is so I can sleep at night. Guess the bottom line is I need to do something to keep me awake. Lord knows I have plenty to do. ;-)

I think Vickie gave you some great advice Tooter. I also have issues sleeping, and try to get it where I can. I took a nice nap today! (I'm a HUGE fan of naps! Often they are the only decent sleep I get!) If you sleep too long or too late in the day it will affect your sleep at night, but a nice hour nap won't hurt you. You need sleep, and if you can't get it at night, there's no reason you shouldn't get a little rest when you're able to.  If you don't want to nap, then some exercise, or a maybe a little housecleaning will get your heart pumping and perk you up. Take some deep breaths and try to take it easy. Hang in there tooter!

Maybe a quick nap is in order to give you a little boost?  If you're eyes are heavy and you don't want to nap just get outdoors and walk...

It's anyone's guess how long this will last for you. It's a little confusing because you take meds because you have trouble sleeping at night yet you're sleepy all day...I would take a 20 minute nap then grab some coffee and work on a project for the rest of the day. Then go to bed at a reasonable time...Most important?  Stop worrying!
