I have been addicted to wide array of opiates for exactly 5 years. I have done several at home detoxes over the course of that time and have failed every single time. I'm trying something different this time. I am due to report at an inpatient detox clinic at 5 this evening. I just took my last pill, and I'm just looking for some support before I head in. I'm scared and alone right now. My wife is out of town at her little brothers graduation. She knows what I'm doing and is very supportive but I still feel very alone right now. I'm tired of being a slave and I'm ready to reclaim my life. For ye who hath the faith of a mustard seed can move mountains, and nothing will be impossible to you.

Hi well the detox is not ez but doing it impatient will help the problem is you will still come out a addict addiction does not just go away you have to treat it one of the best ways is the rooms of N/A it is free and it will help treat the disease and give you a new lease on life ask anyone with a lot of clean time and they will tell you it is harder to stay clean then it is to get clean keep posting and we will look forward to seeing you back in 5 days...................Gnarly.......................

I usually take 8-10 pills a day, and on days I don't have hydrocodone or oxys I take 3-5 shots of heroin, diluadid, or morphine. I've cut back to about 40 mgs the last 3 days and haven't had a shot since Saturday night. I'm nervous, scared, excited, and a bunch of other emotions all intwined into a rubber band ball just bouncing off the walls right now. Thanks for the support. It feels good to read some encouraging words right now. Breathe in...breathe out....

HI ... And welcome to the forum. You will get LOTS of support here. If you are sick and tired of being sick and tired then you CAN do this! And let me tell you life is so much better without drugs. Without all the bull that goes along with using. You will find true happiness! I am not saying it is easy but every hard earned day clean is so worth the reward.
Congrats on taking the step and going to detox - this is wonderful. Btw how much are you currently using??

Congrats!! Be proud of your decision. I am on day 26 of detoxing from a 5 year Norco use, I can't even explain how good it feels. I cut cold turkey, probably shouldn't have, but I did!! You can do this. The inpatient program will provide you with everything you need. It won't be easy but you can do it!! See you on the other side.

you can do it!! faith of a mustard seed is right.. let go let god.. take it easy on yourself through this and try to be positive it wont always be easy but its doable if you stay strong. congrats on getting on the road to recovery and getting your life back. god bless trev.
