coughing alot after oxy withdrawal

Does anyone else have a dry hacking cough from withdrawals of opiates? It also feel weird when I breath, even tho, my lungs and breathing have been checked out.Im 10 days clean, feeling tired, but this coughiing and breathing thing has got me worried that maybe the opiates were masking yet another problem that has now come to surface.

thanks girl! So far the breathing thing seems to be letting up a bit. Sounds right what u said. Lungs are clearing out the drug, just like the sneezing and coughing. Im going to doc today to get a pyysical and blood work xo

I wouldn't worry about it being permanent.  It'a just your lungs, trachea, etc. trying to get rid of the drugs.  Like the sneezing and eye watering and of course the runs (which on day three I have yet to experience-strange?) everyone'a body is different and on a different clock.  If it persists and you are worried go see a doctor for piece of mind.  Big hugs(:

Coughing seems to be getting less. I found gingerale exasperated it. So sticking with just water for now. The werid breathing thing is still there if I breath to hard, so I try not to. Hope this isnot going to be a permanent condition.

Yes, I have what you both said. Thank GOD for small favors. Being that is comes and goes and not an all day thing, I was hoping that, that is what it is. :)

i have a hacking cough too-but I'm only on day two of detox.  It is almost like an apnea thing where my breathing gets weird and then I hack a bit.  One of the many joys of Oxy.

Yes I have the same thing! Im 26days out and I still have the dry hacking cough,,lately it feels more congested like I cant cough anything up and its just sitting in my lungs. I hear/read that is normal :/
