I started the suppliments yesterday. Feeling pretty good today. Actually better than I have in a while. Thanks to everybody for being here for me. I know I can do this.
Hi there, wow you are doing so well for day 7 off methadone, can you please tell me what dosage you were at , at the highest, and how you weaned yourself off? I heard the wds from methadone are horrendous. I am on 50 mls right now and tapering down, maybe go on Suboxone at 30mls, but not sure yet. Thanks
Ya that was me that posted saying you could get all the same stuff for alot less money buying them individually. I do not argue it doesn't help but I personally would rather be able to tailor the vitamin protocol to what is best for me. Zinc magnesium and calcium supplements are most important. 2nd are vitamin B's and even 5htp for depression and anxiety. Let me know if you have any questions.
This forum has helped me get through many a rough day. Please post to vent, ask questions, whatever. We will be here to support you every step of the way. We all understand what you are going through. I, too, have chronic pain. Some days are better than others. I go to physical therapy, exercise, and get trigger point injections. I also have a home TENS unit and traction unit. I hope to see you around :)
Thank you all for being here for me because I`m pretty sure I wouldn`t be able to do this without you. I was almost rady to end it all but because of the replies I`ve recieved on here, I no longer see that as my only way out. God Bless you all. I believe you are saving my life. I plan to always be here for others even when this is over and I`m clean again. Still not sure what I`m going to do about the very bad pain I suffer with when this is over too. That part scares me too because that is why I got on the pain meds to begin with. But I know I have to start somewhere.
Hi! You are definitely not alone. I have read mixed reviews about the Withdrawal Ease. I basically used the Thomas recipe. Immodium for sure, and Gatorade, Vitamin Water or Powerade to replenish nutrients. Bananas for potassium which helps with the restless legs. I took a multivitamin and am starting a B Complex. We will be here every step of the way. Keep posting! You are on the right track.
Hugs,
Minn
Hey, so proud of you...you are doing this and that's awesome!!!! Today is day 7 completely off methadone for me and everyday gets a little better. Just keep a positive attitude and telling yourself you CAN do it and you will! I haven't slept much in days and I can tell you that as tired as I am, I still feel soooooo much better than when I was on that EVIL stuff! Did you get the cal/mag/zinc supplement? It really has helped me with rls, I tried to detox years ago without knowing about it, and this time with it and it has helped immensely, so make sure you get it in addition to the ammino acids! Good luck to you!......Teri :)
Thank you for the info and quick reply.
As for withdrawal ease, I did not take it. It is a mixed bag - I saw a post yesterday where a member told another member they could assemble most of the ingredients themselves for less $$. I don't know what is in it but I assume probably a lot of whats discussed in Thomas recipe. I also saw some members who say it helped them. Different things for different people.
I would definitely get yourself some potassium, magnesium, Super B (walmart) - you can also try valerian, melatonin or passionflower for sleep (again different things work for diff people)
I know you are in a scary place but just tell yourself you have the worst flu ever, hunker down with your immodium, your gatorade and know that it will pass! Hang in there!
