HELP! 45 mg of Percocet withdrawals

I don't want to do this anymore but I'm scared.  I've been taking the pills from the street. In December I went from 30 mg a day to 7.5 for 8 days and then was able to quit but then my mom got sick and passed away and I went back on the pills again.  Now I'm at 45mg a day.  Sometimes more but never up to 60 in total.  What is the best way for me to stop without horrible withdrawals?  I only have 18 30mg pills left and I refuse to get more....I need any advice I can get.  I cannot tell anyone because it would destroy my marriage and my life if anyone found out...my husband would leave me in a split second if he knew.  I gotta do this quickly with as little discomfort as possible.  I've already started taking multi vitamins and I have clonopin and and antidepressant also on hand and have started tapering today.  Just need too know the recipe for SUCCESS! .....HELP

Follow the Thomas recipe it will help tremendously. Your on a low dose so the worst should be over in 5 days. You will feel like you have the flu. I told people I had the flu and that was 40 days ago and now I am completely through it. Congrats on wanting to get clean. Take it hour by hour than day by day stay strong and we are here to support you!

You will be done sooner if you cold turkey but withdrawals wikk be milder with a taper.  The supplements from the Thomas recipe will help whichever way you go.

You may want to join a support group for depression. NAMI has free groups. If you went back on drugs to deal with death, you need to learn more coping strategies.  Or a grievance group. If you attend church, a bible study.
You'll be successful when you learn how to live without drugs. This is part of the process.   Keep posting. You can & will do this.  Pamela

I understand how this is difficult to do without your family knowing.  I'm sure you have your own good reasons, although honesty is the best with the ones we love, but not always possible.  The good thing is you got honest with YOURSELF first.
I too am in your position,  I recently relapsed, and feel it so hard to tell my 93 yr old Mum and partner that I live with that this happened.  I am back on my feet, but feeling very uncomfortable again with w/d.  I feel your pain...

The recipe for YOUR success is found in your willingness to do what it takes to beat this addiction... Tapering or CT are both difficult in their own ways, we can fail at both if we are not focused and determined. I choose CT, because I'm a "just rip off the band-aid" type of person and I know I couldn't keep to any sort of taper plan... It's really a decision that comes down to your personality... The bottom line is that there is really NO way to avoid the WDs but there are plenty of ways to make it easier on yourself (i.e. Thomas Recipe, and etc)... Now, you seem very determined to do this so I am sure you will get it done in a way that works best for you, just remember at the end of the day it's all about YOU and your determination to PUSH your mind and body through.... Keep posting and we will be here to support your efforts..
