day 6 and very hopeful

Question

Day six was good for me. I'm gonna give a once over as quick as possible. Shawn and I sat down and talked. decided today was his last day and he's ct'ing tomorrow..... I came to a man that is my secondary dad for help. He's an old school loud mouth marine who doesn't put up with **** yet has the biggest heart in the world. We decided we would stay with him for a few days so that I don't crumble while watching Shawn go through this and wind up getting him some. Shawn loves him very much and respects him even more. So we loaded up on good food, comfort food, vitamins, aleve, and love. I we gave my poppy the keys and my wallet. (again so I don't crumble while he goes through this. I hate to see him in pain.) we put together a room upstairs with his xbox, pics of his son, and a few of his favorite things. We brought over my late fathers (whom past away in January) camero z28 for poppy and Shawn to work on during the day to keep his mind busy. I'm so hopeful and I love him sooooo much. I want and need him to succeed that way we can be happy together and move forward with our lives. Its gonna be awesome. Please pray for him....and me to:) oh and my poppy has internet so I can talk to u all:)

Hi thats great news im so happy for you your clean and Shawn is going to be detoxing
im glad you where able to stick it out now you can be of help to Shawn ..again its all about attitude wile doing this try to stay as up beat as possible you know how it feels
so its going to take some work but with your help he can do this...I will pray for his success and your continued sobriety...good luck and God bless.....Gnarly

Thanks gbarly, that's what I keep telling him. I'm not just an outsider looking in and trying to understand what he's going through. I've done the detox and I'm living it. So I know. I'm very 

nervous and excited at the same time.he can so this but its gonna be hard at first. It gets easier everyday.

I agree,,Thats definitely a plan but like you said, don't become weak ,,You must both fight through this together,when you see him faltering,come to the site and write!!! Good luck fighting these demons..Peace Bugz
