detoxing from norcos

Im tryin to stop norcos cuz sadly it has taken over my life...I was taken 4 to six a day...I have only had 3 in the last two days...im scared to stop cold turkey cuz when I tried that I went thru 2 weeks of hell and thought I was truly dieng...then it all stopped n I was doin great. The crave was gone and everything..this lasted for about 2 days....then bam it hit me again so I gave in not cuz I craved them but cuz it relieved the symptoms...I thought ill take half here n half there n ill be ok you know kind of weaning myself...well instead I increased them again...all I want is to be my old self again..I noticed when I lowered them this time my stomache hurt badly n diarrhea started in...this morning my head feels funny, everything stinks, cant sit still at times, nose feels clogged but runs...this is how the hell started last time....I am a strong willed person but last time I was on them heavely n im scared it will be the same n I dont know if I can go through the 2 weeks of hell such as feeling like I was having a hearattack..wanting to pass out when I stood up..n the worst ha ing both arms legs hands n feet go numb....any advice??? If I have someone to talk to whos already been through it I know I can lick this!!

You can do this.  If you can manage the over the counter meds that have already been suggested they will help a lot.  There are a couple of other things you can do that are absolutely free (well you don't have to go to the store to buy it).

1.  Hot Bath --- as hot as you can take it...this will help with everything from restless leg syndrome (RLS) to body aches.  Take as many as you need.

2.  Comedy --- watch any kind of show or movie that makes you laugh.  The more the better.  For some reason the laughter really, really helps.

Some of what you are going through is mental too...we scare ourselves to death over withdrawal (I know I sure did).  Quite frankly, it was not fun but the flu isn't fun either....one time I had the flu and bronchitis and I couldn't get out of bed for a week.  So it is all in how you look at it.

Come back and chat as much as you need to.  Reading the stories from other people will help you also.
