I don't want them. But I need to stop hurting. I'm very open to other options. Yes my pain doctor is aware of everything. No tough love is fine. I know your looking out for my best interest.
I kinda sounds like you are leaning to wanting to take pain meds. Am I right?
In reading your post (and your other posts) I see a common thread of mentioning going back onto pain medication. There are other pain relief methods that don't involve drugs! Given your history I would strongly advise not to return to the pills even if someone holds them for you. You know as well as I do that will lead us down a horrible path of a lifelong addiction.
You will ALWAYS be looking for your next pill from the person holding it!
I too am a chronic pain suffer (multiple), but I know I CANT take these type of pills ever again.
I wish you the best and sorry to be harsh. I just want you to get well and be free of these drugs. Does your pain med doctor know you are an addict and cant take these drugs?

Hi! Do you still have the fever? There are other broad spectrum antibiotics they can put you on besides Amoxicilin. This sounds like you really need to see to it. Infections spread and can cause damage and worse. Please, don't wait for a Drs.appointment. Go to an Urgent Care facility or an ER if you can't see your regular physician.
For the yeast you might want to supplement with a good probiotic and fermented foods like yogurt, sauerkraut, cheese, kim chee and bread.
I was running a fever when I went Tuesday. That's when they put me on steroids. They did blood work and called me back the next day and said my white blood count was high and called me in amoxicillan. Now on top of it all I have a horrible yeast infection (sorry for tmi) from the amixicillian. The med isn't helping. Still having the pins and needles pain and stabbing pain around my injection site going around my back down my leg. I have horrible sciatic nerve pain and this is making it worse. Ahhhh I just am over hurting. Its waking me up at night in pain and sweating. Totally different then the way I felt during withdrawels. Anyways thanks for listening. I will talk to the Dr Wednesday and hope for a solution with no pain med.
Congrats! Sorry about the pain. That's tough to go through at two weeks clean. Maybe when the infection gets under control, it'll feel better. Really think through taking any pain meds right now. It could truly set you back with being so new into recovery. It could honestly set anyone back, no matter how much clean time they have. I've had to withstand a lot of pain over the last few years in order to stay clean. I actually fear a pill. Just give it a lot of thought. Even if your hubby holds them, it can put you back through WDs if you take it for a few days. I don't like for anyone to be in pain, so maybe there will be another alternative? I sure hope so! Good luck Wednesday!
Hi! Bravo on your BIG 2 weeks! Great work.
Is it possible that all the pain is coming from the infection? Do you have a fever? If so, perhaps some antibiotics are in order. Is there a way to get to an urgent care facility or an ER as an infection is nothing to play around with & it also might be putting your hard-won sobriety at risk. Just a possibility. Anyway, you've come a long way. Hang in there. We're pulling for you!
Congratulations on 2 weeks. That is great. I'm sorry you are hurting so bad. Definitely talk to the doctor and see what they suggest. There may be alternative to opiates. Good luck to you. I hope that you start to feel better soon.
