Unfortunately that is expected. Fentanyl is a longer released opiate as you know. Hopefully after a week of "flu like" symptoms with first 4-5 days being the worst you will start to feel better. Stay hydrated (diarrhea likely :/), light exercise, some vitamins (magnesium for that creepy feeling unless contraindicated). wish you the best. If I can answer any more questions I will do my best!
Get the supplements in the Thomas Recipe, Gatorade, saltine crackers, Ensure (great meal replacement), and bananas. All of those make a HUGE difference. Oh and definitely epsom salt!!! You can do this and there are many out there just like you, feeling the same way, and going through the same stuff. It helps to have people to lean on so keep posting / venting / cheering and we'll be here with all the support you need!
45 and worked for the USPS I had a fall and hit the corner of a step up to a side walk. I lacerated my kidney and liver broke my back at T1 T2 L4 L5 my neck is bulging and tore the muscle labrel in my left arm and had an impigment in that arm also. This happen in 2008 of June My arm hung out of socket for 2 years because of our lovely system the Government US LABOR I was put on several medication 40 in all of opiate's and inset drugs and muscle relaxers and lets not forget the psychotic drugs 10 in all. I'm making this story as short as possible. My Ortho Doctor and Shoulder Doc sent me to Pain management.
thanks I put down how it started it been 5 years
ok there we go, good job all on one thread now.
are you still on these other meds now? or was the patch the last one?
hun many times the pain actually increases from being on the opiates,
it is called hyperalgesia.
most people see a significant improvement in their pain levels after about 2 months or so after detox.
have you taken any Epsom salt baths yet?
Still haven't slept still having episodes of crying, my legs are so cold and burning.I just want it to end.
taking a magnesium/calcium supplement will help with your leg pain and rls. as will the hot bath.
it will take some time for your sleep to return. try to get up and move around it will help with the leg pain also.
Words to live by: If you are honest, people may cheat you. Be honest anyway. If you find happiness, people may be jealous. Be happy anyway. The good you do today may be forgotten tomorrow. Do good anyway. Give the world the best you have and it may never be enough. Give your best anyway. For you see, in the end, it is between you and God. It was never between you and them anyway.
I am still on Norco 10/325 about 6 to 8 a day
yes on the Epson bath and still having trouble drinking and eating
i'm allergic to so many things it hard for me to take these medication
the pain in my back and arm are at a level 10 very sharp and electrical shocks shooting from time to time.
ok good that should be helping with your detox somewhat.
keep eating those ice pops. dehydration causes a lot of the withdrawal symptoms. how is your stomach? do you need immodium?
I am so sorry your endured all of that.
also every medication has to be the real deal I'm allergic to generic
the norcos should be helping. increased pain is common during detox.
just cramps nothing in there,
I have had 5 bowel blockages in the last 3 months
I have no feeling there
that is why I came off tired of not having feeling
the opiates definitely cause the bowels to back up. wow, 5 blockages.
did the doctors see that as part of the problem?
opiates stop up everything.
No he just said to take a softener every three days. Just so everyone knows I feel a lot better today I got 4 hrs of deep sleep. My legs are coming back after my cat last night would not leave my feet she bit me when I tried to move her. I swear my animals know what is going on they have not left my side since the detox. even when I was in the baths they were there. I feel I beat this drug but I still have a battle to go. I have sever pain in my back and I know my quack of a doctor will want to push more drugs on me. But I'm back and I will stay for awhile on the Norco. Thank you all for the help and support I will keep you updated on how I'm handling everyday with no Duregesic. Yippy
Oh and not to be gross or anything This was the first day I had a bowel movement on my own in the 5 years that I have been on drugs. It was black and now I know the detox was the best thing I ever decided to do. I'm Alive again.
Wow this is such great news. I am so happy for you and so very proud of you. You sound so much better today. So glad you are feeling so much better.
Try to eat small amounts of bland foods today and drink some fluids.

I know I did to much because my back is screaming burning and sharp stabbing pains, my muscle are very weak. I'm going to try and lay down and see if the sheet still burn my legs. so far they are not cold a lot of sweating today. Thanks will keep You All updated. I can do this. My prayers are with you all.
