day one not so bad

Well today was day one and I'm dealing with it fairly well no cravings so far, stopped the diarrhea before it started. The headaches are annoying but I can manage. I just pray the rest of the days are this easy. I know they won't be but I'm gonna try and make them easy. Thanks for all the support.

I would add that each person's detox is unique to them. So many factors...
age, health, how much and how long we used...etc. WS, you sound really good!!!! The first 4-5 days for me were the hardest. My most frustrating symptom was fatigue. I forced myself to take walks on those days. It was
very helpful to get out and breathe the fresh air and feel my body moving.
I hated it at first, but I was always glad i did it. I took my iPod and just kind of lost myself in the music and the motion. It was a nice break from the detox
blues. Hang in there and keep posting. ONE day down.......

Congratulations on taking that first step.....whats that famous saying ' a journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step'   unfortunately in your case ' and believe me I know' the first day or two is a virtual cakewalk!...it's on day three that the journey gets really hard. It's then as the body get clear of your chosen drug that the troubles begin. A new study has shown that going' cold turkey' can be highly dangerous and has been know to cause seizures and strokes..not in all cases of course. What people don't realize is that addiction treatment is now a common cause for people for people coming to doctors treatment rooms. Doctors can and will prescribe non addictive meds to make with drawl far easier. Please find a sympathetic doctor and your chances of success are greatly increased.  Good Luck Tim.

My day 1 was a lot better than expected,  but day 2 (not trying to discourage) has been heck. The stomach mess has been way worse than the first go round,  on the upside my mental is better this time.  Everyone is different,  hang in there,  the payoff Is worth it.

Congrats on day one. As you've suggested, the next few days may get a bit more difficult, but you seem to have a positive mental attitude, and that's one of the most important things that you can arm yourself with. Eating, vitamins, drinking, etc., will help, but you really have to do it on your own, with our help.
We're here for you. Keep posting.
