I hit the gym when cravings hit...if i feel depressed or anxious off i go...it is easy to want to avoid yucky days but like cathy said..we all have them...we just have to learn to cope with feeling bad and realizing it is ok...i think many dont want to ever ever feel bad and that is just not possible...hang tight and enjoy the simple things in life
Your right going back to using just makes problems worse. It took me a long time to change those thinking patterns and when something bad happens now, i don't want to get high like before, to me that is the amazing part. Just like you said everyone has bad days and it's best to keep busy, also a positive frame of mind can do wonders. As for hobbies, I am gonna play a lot more golf this year again, it was actually a trigger for awhile being out there with all my buddies, but not no more, woo hoo.
Detox is the easy part. I stay busy on bad days and listen to music. Bad days dont come around real often as everyday i am clean it is a good thing!!!!
Its scary to think that detox is the "easy" part
hi, its good to see you doing good. i just do my best to stay busy, on bad days...and i remind myself even non-addicts have bad days...it gets me through.
