120 Days Clean!

This must be the day to celebrate 120 day-ers. As I've written in my previous posts, I can never express my gratitude to those on this forum who helped and guided me during my days in hell. Then the support and encouragement during the days of learning to adjust (no sleep for quite a while) and live again; discovering the natural high that comes with everyday living. Life is wonderful without pills; I didn't think it possible, but it is the truth.
I continue to be amazed at the number of people who are beginning their struggle, and the courage and determination that they show. This is the place to be if you really want to stop.
Thank you, thank you.

Thanks again to all...
selfinduced - My attitude was something that I never really considered; it just happened because the longer I was clean, the better I felt (good days or bad days). After years of abusing and being a slave to pills, it was so much easier to not use, and the happiness followed. I believe that most of us have that within us; getting out from under the haze of meds is the first step.

Thanks...I started sleeping OK at about 3 weeks, BUT, the longer I was clean, the easier it was for me to deal with the lack of sleep. As I'd posted before, my eyes stung but I was proud of myself and still enjoyed life. Once I adopted that attitude, sleep got easier. And the folks on this forum help with that too. Now I can sleep 8 or 9 hours without a problem.
Hang in there; it gets better and better.

It's good to hear from you. You always seem to pop up at the right time; you did the same when I first started adjusting to my clean life, and your encouraging words have been welcomed. Thank you so much. We'll keep in touch.
