Day 18

Well it's still day 18 for me. I started CT the 14th. but that's okay, I went in at 7;30am  for my injections this morning. Had been up since 2;30am. By the time I got there my pain level was 15 !!! Told them no narcotics. They took me in at 9:00 and they gave me something to relax me and for the pain and put me to sleep. The pain management dr said he would give me script for tramadol, he said it wasn't additive. lol I said no thanks. He said I could take 3 adivl every 4 hrs. or 2 aleve  twice a day. My feet are better but still hurt a bunch but not like they were. Got 40 in each heel and a little in back. Will go back in 2 wks to finish my back  I went to bed as soon as I got home at 11:30 and did not get up till 2:30. Boy did that sleep feel good! I was pain free from 9:15 until 2;30!!!!!!!!!!!! My pain is about 4 or 5 now I took 3 advil I feel a lot better now!! Thank you for all your prayers! God Bless

Hey Toot!
You really are awesome and what VIC says is true.  I'm still going through hell getting off of suboxone and I'm at day 21!..Yep, 3 weeks clean - truly clean and I'm getting maybe 2 hours of very broken sleep a night.  Which is a god send compared to going 2 weeks with 0 sleep.
Now...I'm not one of those people that say you must never use any pain killer the rest of your life.  Call me weak, but I've passed 10 kidney stones in my life and I'd rather cut my own arm off with a hack saw than pass some of the kidney stones I have.  But, I will also admit that these said kidney stones have caused me on 2 occasions to relapse from cleanliness.  It was all my fault though because I hadn't told my doctor I was an addict....yeah....cuz I was active - hello.  But with your doctor knowing if you get to a point where you can't function, planned pain management is not taboo -  imo.
That being said we all have to decide what we can take and obviously you are very tough...congrats.

VERY, VERY GOOD!!!! Sorry to hear about your pain but proud of you doing it with out those darn evil mind altering drugs. I am so glad you turned down the Trams..I have a Bud on here that we both have been comparing notes for over a year and the Trams are SO synthetic like my Methadone, they do not like to let go..You could of got hooked on those and had a even worse detox and longer one. Keep up the Great work. Just know that there will be days that wave in and out emotionally. It is all part of the process and it is also just called LIFE.
Bless

Hey Tooter, I'm TOOTING THE HORN for ya!!! Great job, ugh doctors these days just make me so angry when it comes to how native they are with prescription drugs.  I really wish that doctors, PA's and NP's would have to go to a mandatory class to bring to there attention the addictive qualities opiates have on individuals.  ANYHOO, great job!!!!
