Hi sweetie:

Depends on what you are detoxing from.  Opiates?  Yes, you can detox at home, although it sux....like having a bad flu for a couple weeks.

Alcohol and Benzo's?  Better to go to a rehab.  You can have life-threatening complications from the withdrawals in these cases.

Hi lowell, welcome to the forum.  This is a wonderful place for advice and support. To answer your question, yes, it is usually possible to detox at home. As far as the best way to do it, well we need a bit more information to best advise you.  What have you been taking? How much per day? How long have you been taking it?

You can get a ton of great information here by simply reading posts. There is lots of success stories from the members here.  Please feel free to tell us about your situation. We will be happy to support you as much as possible.

Probably depends on what you're taking and how much. I'm doing it. But I was only on 50-60mg a day of oxy. I haven't had any dangerous things affect me.
