Tell me what to do

Hi there,
  I have a cousin who is 19 years old. He used to be addicted to pain pills. He would snort them using the ink thing from bic pens. My father got him to stop for a while but recently he started again. I am only 15 so it is alot for me to handle. I kno for a fact that if I told my parents, he would get in huge trouble and be kicked out of my house. I am an ex- cutter and this is starting to effect my own mental health. When I found out that he is using again, I went back to the knife. Please help me. I am really close 2 my cousin. He is pretty much my best friend. Watching this happen is killing me. Please tell me what to do.

There are many places that can help your cousin.  Please just be honest and tell your parents.  Cutting is very serious and in the end doesnt take away the emotional pain.....being honest will.  Do this for you and your cousin.        sara

Drug addictions grows worse when it is kept a secret.. I'm very sorry about your Cousin and that you have again started cutting.. Please stop and tell your parents the truth.. They will be in a better position to help even if it seems harsh it is better out in the open.. also Please tell them how it is effecting you as they may be able to help with this also.. be kind to yourself ok.. lesa

Yeah. They kno about the cutting. They found out becuz when I found out about my cousin, I accidently cut too deep and was bleeding everywhere. I had to lie to them and tell them that the reason was because my parents have been fighting alot recently.

Oh honey you have to tell your parents.  That is alot for you to have to hold inside and you are now going back to cutting.  Your mental health is the most important here.  There is help for your cousin and i hope he will find the help he needs.  Do your parents know you cut yourself?
