Beat down and still down for the count......

I have not used since sunday. i have been sick since tuesday and have been off work. i was positive for strep and the flu and today i found out i have mono.it explains A LOT but yet it has kicked me in the butt!!!!I am literally down for the count for a looooooooooooooooooong time. i have never felt worse in my life. im so sick. so now along with beating this addiction i now have to beat this nasty virus. i most likely came in to contact from a patient as mine are all pediatric hospice patients or my wonderful ex who was cheating on me. how fair is that (the ex factor). im not sure if this is a blessing in deguise. God is literally forcing me to rest. Im having trouble accepting that. im also craving so bad now.but using now would be the stupidest thing to do in the world. my poor lil body. what have i done to it???

Just saw your post on the forum and thought you could do with some encouragement.  You are doing very well and should congratulate yourself.  I read your bio and am sorry to hear about your boyfriend.  If you can stay clean through this you are doing AMAZINGLY...stay strong & focus on yourself, no one else.  You can do it.

  I had mono in my late 20's and it was sooo miserable!!!  I know it takes time and antibiotics to get over.  Hope you're better soon!!

Hang in there-hope you get better from the flu,strep and mono soon-that's a lot! Hope the cravings subside too-on the Dr. Phil show yesterday on addiction, he said that if you busy yourself for 15-25 minutes the cravings will pass-i hope that is true. Congratulations on 5 days clean! As you rest and recuperate may you reflect on how much God loves and cares for you. Cindy
