Cocaine is a psychological addiction not a physical addiction.  Or, so I have been told by doctors I work with.  Based on this, I think you need to get help right away.  You have something underlying that is drawing you to the coke.  There are medications out there that can help to free you from this.  You need to find a psychiatrist (a good one who will actually listen to your plight) tell them everything and how much you are doing a day, and the anxiety that leads you to do it, and a good doctor will get you on a treatment plan which will help you eliminate your cravings for cocaine.  Be honest, firm and demand help.

You sound like me in the '70's - short story - I did coke, I liked coke way too much, I sold coke to pay for mine, I sold a Fed DEA a kilo and went to a non-country club prison for three years.

There are no physicacl w/d's from coke....and psychologically I dont think that its any worse than PAWS type mental things from opiates. Coke use can be stopped easily (especially if there is none in front of you) but if there is any in the house it will (literally) scream at you and wake you up and yell "Do me!" until you give in. This drug screams "Do me" more loudly than the opiates - some type of post use help is a definite if you wish to be successful....been there - - best of luck to to u - it can be done - eagle -after two or three months it will even quit yelling. Just dont listen the first times...

I am here. I just dont know what to say. I guess I jumped into this before I was ready.   I thought I was ready to talk or atleast type, but despite ruining my whole world, coke has been the one and only thing keeping me here.

I was addicted for about 5 years and I know what it takes to get back in touch with yourself. You lose who you were and you push everything away without even wanting to. I made the decision to live life with the same effort I was putting into getting lifted and turned it all around but I had to hit the rock bottom of everything and end up with that choice and take control. It was the hardest thing to do but the greatest thing that I ever done and I hope that I can help you do the same...lets start by getting to know you a lil bit to break the ice sort of speak..

The hardest part is staying off of it. There are no physical withdrawls to speak of but the mental part of always wanting it keeps haunting you. I myself only use when someone else is offering which is really bad so I have distanced myself from those in my life. Stay positive and remember that you are not the only one out there struggling to quit.

  Good luck.

  Steve.
