Sub w/d

Ive been taken subs for the last six years. Spent many times trying to quit, but never made it past a day. Well, good news, its now day 4. I come up here looking for answers, but never find what im looking for. So, the best answer, from personal experience, how much longer till i can get at least and hour of deep sleep? Taken valium, helps with anxiety and RLS. Ive taken clonidine. And i have bottles and bottles of vitamins like Gaba, melitonin, leg ache pills. And the list goes on. Everyone has said to take this and that. The only thing i feel would knock me out is gas before surgery (even then you have to let them know, or it wont work, how funny). I don't go to the gym. Its winter and waaay to cold for a walk. So, please, has anyone found something to do the trick? I try to sleep, and have "wake dreams". Please help. Im def not going back. Was handed one today, and handed it back. Thanks.

Funny thing is, i took slivers. Just enuff to make it thru the day. Not to get high. Im a tattoo artist in a studio with clients left and right. Luckily, this week has been slow, and didn't have to deal with clients, brainstorming. Its now monday morning, 4:02 am, and go back wed. Then have a tattoo convention this weekend. Im afraid i wont make it if i don't sleep. But, i did this to myself, and now i gotta suffer till the end.

It was a total of 90 days to get over all the symptoms, I was talking about sleep. Sleep seems to start coming back at 21 days and is often stable by 30 days. When my mind was racing, I would get up, stretch a little, walk around the house or yard, then go to bed to try again. I counted backward from 100 over and over again, trying not to think about anything but the counting. I found myself skipping numbers and then losing count. All of a sudden, I would wake up, usually an hour or so later. Sometimes it helped to count by my breathes and would try to breathe slow and steady. Sleep was by far the most difficult part of it all for me. Even laying down and resting in a state of meditation helps with maintaining sanity. I hope you feel  better soon. 2mg is a fairly high dose to stop subs, but it's been done many times. I tapered down to .5mg and still had severe sleep issues. It will pass, as you know, just hang in there.

21 days is 3 weeks. Better the 90 days from what ive seen. I just got up from trying to sleep. My mind just plays with me. Haven't slept in 4 days, and figure the brain needs to re-coop. So, i get up and sit in my recliner and watch tv till the sun comes up. Thats when im happy. Nights suck.

Subs are almost entirely gone from the system in 21 days, that seems to be the point most start to sleep again. By 30 days, 6-8 hrs seems pretty common. I was getting 4-6hrs by day 18 and a solid 6 by 21 days. I had 6 or more hours of sleep since then. Nothing seemed to work for sleep. I took lunesta around day 16 and slept more than an hour for the first time. It didn't work the second night I tried it, but that one night made a difference. As you know, we are all different, but 21 days seems to be a norm, if there is one.

It may not hurt to try a hot Lavender Epsom Salt bath...a long one...the lavender relaxes your mind while the Epsom salt eases muscle aches and pain. Baths have been my best friend for about a month now. Lol. Good job on not taking the pill!! And good luck :)
