Step 3 is one of those ongoing steps. I have to check and make sure I am working step 3 every single day, usually multiple times. To me, this is the true beginning of recovery. I would also have to say that I haven't mastered nor totally understand this step either. I do believe working this step is what has brought back inspiration and ideals, ambition and acceptance. IF I tried to explain my step 3 it would sound like a science fiction novel written by Indiana Jones.

Thanks, Can't wait to be working through all these further steps, I am just really working on Step one "We admitted we were powerless over our addiction, that our lives had become unmanageable."

I believe that Admitting to everything involved in my life that I AM AN ADDICT and am helpless over my addiction (as opposed to just myself) has hinder me to pusher further.
