Vicodin detox - 16 days and going strong

I'M ON DAY 16 of detox from 4 years of dependence on 10/325's. I am sitting here this evening feeling quite fine. I am still feeling an awful lot of fatigue during the day though. Not so bad I can't go on my walk and do my housework but kind of - pretty bad. Every evening it lets up and I feel so great during the evenings.  My sleeping is better now, my electric legs are calming down so much better.  I am taking calcium and magnesium, which was suggested to me by someone in the recovery business.  I think it is helping. After feeling better each day the first week, now I feel that I am kind of on a plateau though and I wish I just felt as good in the day as I do in the evenings. I feel so happy I'm not on the pills any longer that was getting so old all I thought about was quitting and what it was doing to me.  So now I did and the first few days were rough, I tapered so it wasn't as bad as all that.  How long does this fatigue last? because I have to go back to work soon. I ain't lookin' forward to a stressed out job on top of all this. Oh the tangled webs we weave!  I want to feel like I do right now, all day long and it hasn't happened yet.  The worst thing in all this is having no one to talk to, so thanks for listening everyone:)

I would suggest reading up on what supplements to take, including vitamins. For a while, taking 'mega' doses is OK, maybe even necessary. Our bodies get really messed up with the drugs and we don't properly absorb nutriments. There is some very good info in the Health Pages at the top of the page.
Congrats on getting clean.

to you both, very helpful and I think I will go to a meeting. I just hope I don't hear anything DIScouraging there, when I need to be ENcouraged so much. Thanks again.
