i worried and worried i wouldnt find a new suboxone dr for nothing! ive got an appt tmmw at 8 yahoo!!!! im so relieved because most suboxone drs have a waiting list! thank god!!! keep you all updated! keep your heads up addiction is a terrible disease and can take your life! im not a dr but anyone coming off opiates suboxone is a miracle drug and has saved my life many many many times! i pray for everyone struggling with opiates it consumes lives! good luck everyone! one day at a time!

my appt went good actually i was so nervouse cause i got on his site and all the comments were bad but he was cool with me he put me on lyrica and i have to ween myself of zanax! i should be allright??

vince, how did the dr. appt go? i am sorry i thought you wanted to get off of it that is why you tried to quit cold turkey last week even though you had some left. i know your other dr. dropped you when you said you wanted to get off.
do you plan on tapering off ?
how long have you been on the sub?

I think with opiates of any kind it is normal now-pay later  the longer one makes you feel "normal"  the more you will pay later.I know at 6 months clean I feel anything but normal but now I realize high was normal for me.
It's really all up to us whether we want to get high or stay high or quit.Nothing magical or supernatural to me about it.It really isn't like getting hit by a car or some other random act.We decide we want to get high we get high and then for some reason we wonder how it happened.

im not sure?? ive never heard of anyone getting sick on it?? when i was in rehab at tully hill one guy got whicked high off it sorry not much help good luck hope it workes for u!

no i take 4mg a day thats it and yes i go to aa meetings and a sponsor and on my 4th step and also i enjoy going to church its a good feeling and the way i see it is take suboxone and feeel normal or go off it and take a chance of going back out and if i do i might die! overdosed on morph 3 times and was hospitalized 3 times the last overdose i was in a coma for 5 days! how many times is god going to save me??? im 100% for suboxone!!!!! and my sponsor is against it! i dont understand why people are against it! who knows maybe im wrong?? time will tell

hi ive been on subutex for the last 2 years i started on 4mg ive been tapering over the last year or so and im now on 0.4,i was a heroin user for 9 years and tried many different methods of detox from CT to rehab to benzos.Sub seems to have worked for me i lost everything in my life,an  its taken time to rebuild my life again, and sub gave me that "buffer" to work through things.Its not a miracle cure but if you have tried every other option then go for it.chris

everyones oppinion is wanted however the amount of meds im on and the lenth of use 7 yrs if i hadnt tried ct i wouldnt try sub i am a single mother and cant take a week off to detox and can afford it if i cld also i guess from what i read ur not supposed to ct off 30 tram a day for seizures im trying to figure out what wrks for me which is why i askd some1 with sub exp no offense but if u feel that way u obviously wldnt hav any exp wth that right? iv acually gotten little help wth my prob so i was attempting to get more my story is the same as everyone else got hooked on pain meds do to pain cant detox because i hav a life just like every1 on here or we wld b a rehab who also dnt make u do ct at first

I personally think cold turkey off all mind/ mood altering meds ( including sub) is the best way to go! Otherwise you are just trading one drug addiction for another!  Hope this helps but it is just my opinon!

hey i posted last week about sub i went to the dr and he put me on 4 mgs 2x a day and i took it for 6 days ans i was deathly sick the entire time so i went bck to perks  i went bck and he switched me to subutex 2 mgs 2x a day im getting it filled after wrk do u think it cldv been a reaction to the nalexone or will this just not wrk for me i was on 15/vic or percs a day plust 20 to 30 trams a day

Glad to hear this!  Just don't let them put you on any more than those 4 mgs like atthebeach said :)  Let us know how it goes....

vincent taper down and quit those drs dont want you to get off the subs.Good luck to you I know how hard it is.

hey vincent,
that is great news. please take a stand and make sure he knows you want to taper from the 4mgs you are on. not go higher.
do you go to any counseling or support groups?
