We really blow our brains on this stuff and it takes awhile to get your brain healed. This is why once you have detoxed and are out of the acute stage, you need aftercare. Telling your secret so someone can hold you accountable, and having ALL sources cut is also crucial.
Having said that, it may take up to a year, but your doing the right thing! The days will move, as they always do, and you will be healing yourself and getting better very single day.
Diet, exercise, aftercare can all help you maximize the healing process.

You can do this. Sorry u are feeling crummy. It will pass. U are doing great!!!!!
I would just go ahead and quit.
Have you given any thought to some recovery care?
Well, let's not 'stare a gift horse in the mouth', eh? You're already down there. So, you're saying you want to wait until you're out for the summer. Can you stabilize on this dose? Do you have the meds?
I dont know any suggestions???? Did such a drastic taper bc I ran out of my meds and figured I would just be going backwards if I started bck at my reg dose
Wow! That's quite a drop. So, how much will you be dropping next time?
I went feom about 35 to maybe a good estimate would be around 12mg or so
How much are you dropping each time?
Thanks ive been following some of your post and they have helped me alot. I am so scared of just dropping at once. It seems each tiny drop effects me so much. I had no idea it would be so hard. I will be off for the summer when school is out. I think it will be easier to handle them or at least not having to hide why I feel aweful
Not feeling like this again is such a wonderful thought. It just seems so far away right now. But with yalls support im hopeful
Thank you so far ive been able to handle taper but I so hate the fact od prolonging wd. Its just I will be out for summer in few weeks and think it would be easier then
Congrats on your Big Decision and on your taper. I'd tend to agree with YesLife4Me. You're on a low dose and you might want to consider just biting the bullet so as not to stretch out the withdrawals. It depends how it goes for you in terms of symptoms and adjusting to your 'drops'. The sooner you stop though, the sooner you'll be able to start the healing that will initiate your new life. Hang in there, girl! You can do this. We're here.
Great decision to get off the hydrocodone! Just wanted to send some support your way. It is miserable for a few days, but it is temporary. Try to think positive - you wont ever have to do this or feel this way again; and the time you are putting in now is SO worth the benefit you will get in return. Hang in there....you are doing great!
Hey Girl...12 mg is not that high of a dose to cold turkey from and just get it over with. Right now since you are reducing your dose, you are prolonging withdraws. But, it you have good self control and can keep gradually bringing it down, you will feel it every time you make a drop for a few days. It does get better. You have made an excellent decision and won't regret it once you get past the ickies. Hang in there and keep posting for support.
Im just tapering down.... first week. Im taking about 12 mg or so a day... feel crummy. Prob over doing the b vitamin s today just tryn to get any energy at all
