thanks for the info. it is my husband that is addicted, and its killing me to see him like this. was just trying to get an idea of how long this would last. he has an assessment scheduled for this weekend at a detox center, but am thinking by then the worst will be over. i hope they do not turn him away if he is thru the worst of it.
yes i have exsperianced fevers when in withdrawl before probably because of the body trying to regulate your fluctuating body temp. Opioid withdrawal syndrome has a funny way of resembleing a severe flu-like illness. The syndrome is characterized but not limited to rhinorrhea, sneezing, yawning, lacrimation, abdominal cramping, sleeplessnes, leg cramping (RLS), piloerection (gooseflesh), nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, fever, loss of appetite and dilated pupils. Im unclear if you are the one going through this or if you are just curious but i know from excperiance it is very unpleasant and misreble but medical studys have shown it is not life threatening. Stick it out at all cost your life will improve the sickness will be over soon enough and the deppression will lift you will feel normal again.
