i am new here and am not sure what to do afraid to go to drs office have been on percs since 11/07 for a back injury takin 6-10 a day should i go to a detox clinic i have tried to stop them but got pretty sick feelin

I agree with gg. If going to a doctor is an option i will definetly take that route. Good luck to you and stick around. This forum really is a life saver. There r so many people willing to help and offer support. It really does help. I am over  6 months clean and i owe it all to this forum and the great friends i have met here.

what is you dosege . im tapering right now and it seems to be doing well i was taking 2 perc 10s ever 3 to 4 hours. i started tapering last week im doing 3 a day for 2 weeks then 2 a day for a week and a half and so on and im taking my doses if i feel i need it and try energy drink they are really helping me with w/d monster and amp seem to be the best for it i dont know how it works but it dose. good luck.
P.S.
im on week 2 of 3 a day the first 3 or 4 days where hard but little by little its getting better and i feel my body wanting it less and less

You should definetely go to the doctor...they understand and they can help you to get off of them. The doctor can give you some meds to help with your withdrawal symptoms. Good luck and we are all here to help and to talk to...
