quiting hydrocodone

Hi, i am addicted to hydrocodone 10mg take 10 to 15 a day some days been doing this for about 2years and i got to stop.Ive tried several times and always get to day 2 or 3 than give in. I work check to check so i cant afford to take time off, and cant seem 2 get thru a day of work without them.Im really want to quit and im open to any help you all can give.Thanks for listening im hopeing to hear from you all soon......

Hi,It is hard to do when working.Is there any way you could take a 3 or four day weekend to get through the worst of it.If you have a large supply you could also taper your dose.There are alot of people on here to help.There are also alot of over the counter help you can get.Immodium seems to help the withdrawals alot if you take a larger dose than recommended.Hopefully there will be more people here to help

Im in the same boat as far as it being about two years. My usage started with 5 surgeries in 10 months. I never thought this would happen to me. Im on day 24 now without the stuff, cold tukey. Nooooooooo fun and still suffering with headaches daily. This is so hard but Im not giving up now after this long. Sometims I just want to strangle someone, haven't yet though :/ I still am wondering how to get through each day but Ive noticed keeping busy helps the day go by faster and that is huge. I really can't say it's getting any easier yet, but now almost 4 weeks in, Im hoping this nightmare has got to end soon :0 ...Im here to talk to if you want. I keep waiting for someone to talk to too... any help is good :)

I would taper down.   How is your supply?  Do you have enough to do that?  What about with the holidays coming up?  Maybe you could set up a taper schedule with your final pill being taken on the day before the largest amount of days off for the holiday.  Stock up on all your supplies before then.  Look up the Thomas recipe on the bottom right of this page.
