is rapid detox safe and an alternatinve to tapering off subs?

The only benefit that I can see with rapid detox is you skip out on all the physical withdrawal symptoms. But really the physical part of detox is like 5% of this whole process. Getting off drugs and staying clean is 95% of the program. Rapid detox does not cure the mental aspect of this disease. Rapid detox from what Ive learned from this site is also very expensive, controversial and not as effective. You have to do the work-work the program or some program involving aftercare to maintain sobriety. I work my program every day. I have learned and come to terms with my addiction and that its a lifelong battle. Ive made life changes and learned and developed new coping mechanism that are not even thought of in a rapid detox program. I agree with IBKleen,,a slow taper is more effective. No it is not safe. there is way too much controversy about it and the results are not all that promising. If you stay on a proper taper you should be able to get off off Suboxone fairly easy.
