withdrawal plan

I have been taking 10/325mg hydo's 4 to 8 a day for a few years for pain. I have decided to stop this and deal with pain another way. I plan to taper to two a day for five days then one a day for five days  and then stop. Will this make withdrawals less but maybe longer?

Hi & Welcome, that is not a very good taper plan and it will almost surely not work. You need to come down slower. Your best bet is to see your doctor and ask for a proper plan. You want to set yourself up for success. Good luck and let us know how you are.
