ive been off the pills. Im really depressed and it does seem like theres no light at the end of this tunnel. I definately cant listen to any other music than happy music. One question, Ive been on the vicodins , lortabs, lorcets and ect for a couple years. This summer I noticed my vision was starting to seem a bit blurry, and I feel kinda far from everything. That will go away right? It seems like my life is one big blur or like one big dark room.

when coming off of any of the opiates your dopamine (brain chemical) is not yet back to producing at its normal capacity.This is the chemical responible for your happy feelings and such. Your brain got used to the pills producing the "happy feeling". So without pills your body is have to readjust.  This will take time to correct itself.  Sadness, depression the far away feelins are just that "feelings"  and will correct itself. Give yourself time. Keep telling yourself "this will get better" and it does.  There is light at the end of the tunnel..it might be dim right now..but it will get brighter, i promise...this is my third attempt to get clean and stay this way...you must know that it didnt take a few days or weeks to get this way and so its not going to right itself in that amount of time either.  i have 47 days this go around and am determined to maintain it...unless your thinkin of doing yourself in..dont get on something else...YOU can Do this.  As addicts we will never be cured of our disease and thats what it is...a disease..but we do recover..of that i am sure.  Also remember that pain pills Will and Do cause pain in the long run.

I wish you peace and happiness, stay strong, it will get better...,minute by minute, hour by hour, day by day, week by week....before u know it..you will feel lots better...

Yeah the blurry vision makes me think im goin crazy sometimes, lol. Yeah I feel distant from everything. I was thinking about antidepressants but id just be taking another pill. Ive been smoking weed to get to bed at night, that helps.

Yes, that will go away.  The blurry vision is a real pain, isn't it?  It drives me nuts!  When you say you feel kinda far away....do you feel sort of hollow?  I know that feeling....creepy....

You might need to look into antidepressants for a little while.  Whatever you do just don't use!  Good luck!
