I saw it a couple of days ago & meant to keep track. She just posted it on her status. It's official: BanMethadone is 30 days 'opiateless' !!
J, you're a beautiful, intelligent & sensitive girl who's aced the 'acutes' with grit & grace. I applaud you for managing to stay in school & care for your daughter throughout. Methadone is a rough, rough kick & my hat is so off to you, my friend! I'm proud of you for sticking with it, for maintaining a 'good' attitude & for being brave enough to let us know when things aren't so great. I'm so glad that you're here with us. (You're a welcome addition to this community!) Now..onwards & upwards to 1 Month & 1 Day. You've got this!!

Congratulations on 30 days!! Although I have never taken methadone, it doesn't take a genius to figure out after reading this forum that it is a ***** to come off of...you should be very proud!! Good luck and God speed in your continued recovery (love your screen name...tell it like it is..LOL) Michelle

Awesome! I have been on off roxies n morphine but I went to the clinic and got put on methadone, over a year ago so this gives ME hope that one day when I'm ready I too can wean completley off! U are an insperation to us all. Congrats n god bless!!!

What a great job you have been doing plowing through this detox and showing initiative by tossing your last few doses plus the next weeks down the drain. You are an inspiration and proof that this can be done and that people do return to happiness and well being if they put in some work and time. I think it's great that you write those journals telling people basically to "wear yourself out and not psych yourself out". I made that up (it could be the title to your new detox self help bestseller like wish it want it do it)... anyway great job friend ;)))) You deserve a huge reward for yourself today. ;)

Wow... One month free from the poison of methadone... WoooHooo!!! Soooo happy for you. You continue to share your journey and advice with me as I go thru this and I couldn't be more thankful. Your words of encouragement help keep me to keep going every single day.

You really have made this look easy, and have showed everyone still stuck in the bondage of opiates that there is hope. You are an inspiration and a motivator. I've never heard of this or this band before, but I expected as much coming from someone as clever as you :) I love the sexy pin up pic you've got up there as well. It was so very kind of you to post this on my behalf... yeah, yeah I'm a pathetic sappy mess at the sight of it all. I am strong, but I am also easily turned to mush, just so you know.
To Ang (if I may call you that :P ), I really enjoyed getting to know more about you, and thank you so much for taking the time to correspond with me. I really appreciate your support on here since I first came on. I know the things we all have to struggle through and how long things lasts is very individualized, and I think both you and Annie are very strong women... two women I am very glad that I have the chance to know in some capacity.
Actingbrandnew, Motye, Real, and Domniosarah, haven't had the chance to get to know any of you on a more personal level, but I have seen you on here, and I do so appreciate the support. I think we all need it, and in fact, this is the first time I have been back to the forum. I don't know why, but I couldn't come back. Right now, I can see even by the first post that someone has just finished their taper, and I feel compelled to support them. I think I just retreated into my own little world to heal. I feel so good today though... it's not just me saying it either. I truly do, and if this isn't 100% then woah watch out once I get there lol
Noni, and Vic- I've had the chance to chat with you both, mainly in the mornings. You are both two very funny, strong, and sweet ladies. I thank you for your posting on this.
Dryan, I won't lie in that I get a little discouraged sometimes encountering people that probably aren't ready yet(because I want them to be able to get clean too), but you are different. I felt an immediate draw to talk to you more because I feel your drive is so strong. You're in the thick of it now, and I want to see you come through. I want you to know how worth it the pain truly is. I feel like of all of the people I have seen on here, you are one I would put money on coming through it. You have what it takes, I know you do.
Ricart... aahhh my cool and very sweet friend Rick. Thank you so much for posting for me, tho your friendship means much more than this post. I appreciate you for your kindness, your advice, and your thoughtfulness. You've never left me hanging since we became friends on here.
